Caption winners, chip market
|
"Just kidding... I'm not pregnant, it was just a ball"
-- Jamie83, winner of the last caption contest.
Runner up: Luis was the only one who had seen where the ball rolled out of bounds. "There's no cup worth getting dog crap on my head," he thought. -- Guither Honorable mention: "Get in my belly!" -- Zim Winners, leave your BS ID on the thread for your chip prizes. |
Although we never planned exchanges between B$ funny money and BlogShares chips, a market has sprung up on the bulletin boards. Laila is offering B$1 Billion per 1000 chips, up from earlier bids of 10k each.
Seeking opinions: Shorthand symbol for 'BlogShares chips'? B# Bc c# wot?
Comments
Umm, I like B# cause its very close to B$, although B¢ would be better looking, its harder to type. So... in my opinion B# wins.

Congrats to the winners! I kinda like Bc or B(c) for chips shorthand. *shrugs*

I like the Phoenix suggestion "B¢"

Thanks for the honorable mention!
I think B# is good... easy.

'B¢' is best, cos it ties in with B$ soooo nicely =D
Could also have 'B(c)' for folk too lazy to type a ¢, or don't have one (like me). Not a fan of 'Bc', cos that's 'Before Computers' (ie the dark ages!)
(We could always have 'B€', the Euro symbol looks like a C, and hence B(C))

I'd prefer to stay away from HTML entities because (a) most non-webmasters don't know how to make them, and (b) several posting systems won't allow them.

What's wrong with "chips"? It's short (compared with the ASCII value for the "cents" symbol) and doesn't allow for any ambiguity.

B¢100 does look cooler than 100 chips
But does B¢100 look too much like B$100?
