Artefact Hype

Hype, or "Hypeing" is a type of Artefact usage.

This move enables the player to raise the stock share price of a blog in the Artefact's Industry. The market price will rise by 20-50%. Repeated usage on the same blog within 24 hours will have less effect.

Net Effects

For shareholders in the blog, they will see an increase in the value of the shares they are holding (and also in their bottom line Net Worth), but it may also increase the P/E of the blog to a point that prevents them from selling their shares on the Public Market and reaping in the profits caused by the Hype. Shares cannot be sold on the Public Market if the P/E reaches a value of approximately 750 or so (depending on the blog, this figure varies), but can still be sold using a Market Sell Order (provided you can find someone willing to buy those shares at that high P/E, that is). Also keep in mind that if the "Invisible Market" of buyers and sellers happens to randomly choose that blog to trade in and readjust the price and p/e, your "hyped" share price may collapse, taking your profits with it. If the blog's P/E reaches approximately 20,000, the P/E will reset itself to a P/E of 1.0, crashing the price along with it.
