Finding Blogs on BlogShares
There are many ways to browse the listing on blogshares. We'll look at a few of them below.
Quicksearch
You can use the Quick Search to locate text in any of the following: Blog URL, Blog Title, Corporations, Industry, or User. The search will return up to 50 items matching the search text you have entered, based on highest relevance in a full-text search.
Major Blog Indicies
- Hot Stock: The main page of the Stock Tips area, containing a list of 100 stock recommendations chosen due to their low P/E ratios.
- Market Orders: Provides links to all current Buy and Sell Orders.
- Top Traded: A link-list of Top 100/500/500-750/750-1000 blogs ordered by volume of trading in the last 24 hours.
- Top Blogs: A link-list of the top 100/500/500-750/750-1000 blogs ordered by valuation.
- Most Popular: The 100 "most popular" stocks, valued by the number of shareholders in each blog. This list is updated hourly.
Industry Search / Browse
You can browse the blogs in the index on a per industry basis by visiting each industry page. You can start from the top on the Industries page.
The Hierarchy View opens a page where Industries and Sub-Industries are organized as a nested-branch or tree-view (organized by folders). If you're in a major industries search mode -- let's say you're trying to vote a blog into appropriate industries -- it can be worth your while (and time) to open all the folders so that you can use your browser's edit>find utility to search the entire set of BlogShares industries and sub-industries. Very useful!
