Sigma
Sigma is a community ranking system based solely on a player's accuracy of reporting errors such as incorrect blog titles, dead blogs, spam, and non-blogs.
Players gain sigma by first correctly reporting errors, then having a administrator accept the error report. Each accepted error report gains a player +1 sigma in addition to 20 Chips.
Sigma is also gained by correctly adding live blogs to the game. Players receive 1 sigma point and 20 chips per blog added.
Where is my Sigma?
A player's Sigma is displayed on the Members Area on the right-hand side of the page.
What does Sigma do for me?
Besides helping to raise your overall rank within the game, Sigma is either required or helps out when using certain features in the game.
- In order to use the Stock Broker, you must have at least 1 Sigma.
- Both the Ideas Comparator and the Stock Broker Give discounts to their costs based upon the amount of sigma that you have.
- Reindexing is closely tied in to the level of sigma that a player has.
