Voting Demographic Example
This article will show you in a series of steps how to vote a blog into a demographic category. A demographic is one of three different categories:
place such as London, USA, Missouri, Austin...etc;
gender such as male or female;
language such as English, Japanese, Chinese etc.
Take note that when voting a demographic vote on a blog, it must have at least a post on it made during the last six months and be a blog.
Example 1
Step 1 I have discovered by looking at this blog owner's profile that she lives in Fulham, a suburb of London, England and I want to vote her into that demographic category.
In order to be voted in the blog must have at least three posts in the last six months, which this one has.
Step 2 I locate her blog on B$ by searching by title in the search box above my profile information on the lhs. Then I look for the Industries box which contains the votes her blog has already received and the links for both new votes and for looking at votes already cast.
Step 3 - Having found the box, I click on the link 'Vote for which industry this blog belongs to'.
Step 4 - A pop up opens.
Step 5 - I type in 'Fulham' in the box and click find.
Step 6 - A drop down menu appears which contains two options. The first as shown in this picture is Fulham FC which is NOT what I want.
Step 7 - I open the drop down menu and select the category I do want which is 'Hammersmith and Fulham. I then click the button 'vote for'.
Step 8 - Once I have voted a selection of drop down menus appear to allow me to vote further up or down the demographic category if I want. In this example I would have to stop at Europe, as person, place or language are not categories which you can vote on in the game.
In this case, as I know that this blog is already voted into these categories, I close the window.
Step 8 - I am now back on the original B$ entry for the blog. If I refresh the page, I will see my vote has been registered and is now shown in the industries box.
